Research Interests
The use of cryo-electron microscopy to study the mitochondrial membrane protein, Miro. Miro's interaction with TRAK adaptor protein mediates mitochondrial motility within the cell. The is especially important in the context of mitochondrial disease phenotypes, where mitochondrial motility is impaired and thus targeted for mitophagy.
