Research Interests

We study the interactions between transcription factors and cofactors with response elements that activate gene expression networks driving T-cell leukemogenesis and thymic regeneration. Our vision is that understanding how cofactors direct and amplify functions of transcription factors will lead to effective and safe therapies that combat childhood leukemia or restore thymopoiesis after cytoreduction. We use the latest biochemical, proteomic, and genomic techniques in mouse and preclinical human models to test our hypotheses.
